I helped a lovely client purchase a flat overlooking the canal in West London.
The budget was tight, which meant choices were limited and compromises were unavoidable. On top of that, the lease needed extending — something that can easily derail a purchase if not handled properly.
We negotiated hard. The seller agreed to extend the lease. The deal held together.
Fast forward to this year and I was invited back for dinner.
The flat was completely transformed. I met the cats… and a new dog had joined the family too. As I walked through the door, I was greeted with the words:
“Russell, we love the area. We’re so happy.”
Honestly, that said everything.
